Juneau, Alaska - Hello! 👋🏾

Flights to Juneau from Seattle were only $200 round trip! Thanks covid! 😷 Extra bonus, the plane was socially distanced. I know it’s not feasible for airlines to continue this way, but I enjoyed the extra room and wished covid travel was here to stay - without the covid part, of course.

Thankfully, I did my research, because they were serious about covid testing as soon as you landed. I had my test within 72 hours of arrival, so, I was able to breeze through the line like a travel boss while everyone else was held hostage at the airport.

After getting settled into my Airbnb, I decided to take a stroll to get a lay of the land and find some Alaskan fish!

The weather upon arrival was as expected, 50 degrees (cold to a Texan) and raining. The mist floating above the water was enchanting and as I strolled to the restaurant across the street from my Airbnb, I knew this would be the most relaxing vacation ever.

The bar/restaurant had musicians playing live music which was fun and I could tell everyone there were locals. The bartender immediately asked where I was from - I stuck out like a sore thumb. Everyone was super nice and the food was incredible! Photos are below - you be the judge! 😋

After eating, I went back to my Airbnb, relaxed in the bed and did a slight Netflix binge before drifting off into the most restful sleep of my life. 😴
