I’m Homeless? 😮

Homeless!? Ok - allow me to reframe. 😅

More appropriately, I’m now a digital nomad - a person who earns a living working online in various locations of their choosing (rather than a fixed business location).

I have been lusting after this lifestyle for over a decade. Now that I’ve finally embraced it, it’s strange when I explain it to others. So I make light of it by saying - I’m homeless!

Random Fact: Jokes are my most adored deflection tool. 🤩

When I was married, I binged on YouTubers like Backpacking Bananas, TIM and FIN and Antoinette Yvonne. I lived vicariously through these strangers who were exploring the world - not realizing at the time that I was subconsciously manifesting this lifestyle for myself.

If comparing to societal American norms, I was following the timeline perfectly:

• I went to college and graduated with a degree that guaranteed myself a great paying job

• I got married

• By 24, we were homeowners with cats and steady jobs

• Fast forward to 2019, I was a CPA with a thriving accounting business and a rental property

On paper, everything looked amazing, but behind closed doors our relationship was in shambles and once 2020 hit, I knew I had to hit the reset button for myself.

So, here I am! No residence, my stuff and car in storage and heading to South America for the first time! Time to check more items off my bucket list and learn more about myself. 😊
